FUNDAMENTAL DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
Friday nights 600pm-800pm= $25/per month during fall session fopr non-club members ( does not include holiday weekends, this includes usually 3 fridays a month) *free for regular paying cllub members* CAMPS & CLINICS for group or individual beginners, intermediate or experienced players. 1:30pm-3:00pm on selected Saturdays and Sundays in the FALL, for portions of Sept., Oct. & Nov. Check both Camps & Clinics page and Schedule page for details. All camp members must still register on our website for Fall Session 2010 even though there is no payment for the pogram, USWP insurance is required.

NOVICE CLINICS & CAMPS ( ex: Fundamental Development Academy & FREE SUMMER CAMP)
This is for both experienced & beginners who needs to feel a little more comfortable with similar skill abilities aside from the team age group system. Clinicians will evaluate the progress of the athlete along with introducing and teaching them the fundamental aspects of the game. Many athletes will still be enrolled in their normal team training, however will take advantage of the opportunities of these clinics in a more confident environment.. Pee-Wee, 6U Boys & Girls (Kindergarden Age)
A non-competitive program which is primarily geared for getting the child used to the water, working with instructors, feeling safe, and being introduced to the concepts of swim, treading water, ball handlings and sense of their surroundings. All children in this group must be water safe and parents are encouraged to sign their kids up in the near future for formal swim training.
8U Boys & Girls (Elementary School Age) Club Teams
This is a simple program introducing the sport of water polo in a low to non-competitive environment. Athletes will be taught the basic fundamentals of the game in a fun safe setting with focus on swim proficiency, treading water and ball handling skills. All children in this group must be water safe and are highly encouraged to take upon continuous formal swim lessons
10U Boys & Girls (Elementary School Age) Club Teams A water polo program designed to introduce the sport of water polo. Athletes will be taught the basics of the game including: Front court offense and defense, 6 v 5 and 5 v 6, counter attack and transition. 10U boys and girls will be focused on fundamentals and proficiency in swimming, treading water, ball handling skills and an appreciation of team play. Children are encouraged to continue with swim lessons and take into serious consideration in joining a swim club.12U Boys and Girls (Elementary School Age) Club Teams A water polo program designed to focus on the fundamental skills necessary to play at any level. 12U boys and girls will be introduced to the LOS AL System of play. Team tactics will be addressed throughout each session to prepare the athletes for competition. In-water instruction from experienced athletes allows the participants to advance their skills quickly. 14U Boys and Girls (Middle School Age)Club Teams A water polo program designed to focus on the fundamental skills necessary to play at any level. Individual skills as well as team tactics will be addressed throughout each session. In-water instruction from athletes allows the participants to advance their skills quickly. Highest level players will be preparing to try out for Development National and Cadet National Teams.18U & 16U Boys and Girls (High School Age)Club Teams
A water polo program focused on fundamental aspects of the game coupled with tactical discipline. Each player will learn and have the ability to operate within the LOS AL System. High School Age level players are prepared for national level competitions with the focus of being seen by the top college coaches in the country. Highest level players will be preparing to try out for Youth National and Cadet National Teams.
20&Unders Men and Women (College)
A water polo program focused on fundamental aspects of the game coupled with tactical discipline. Each player will learn and have the ability to operate within the LOS AL System. Junior College level players are prepared for national level competitions with the focus of being seen by the top university coaches in the country.CurrentUniversity level players will be able to compete in major club events to better prep them for their school teams along with trying out for Junior National and Senior National Teams.
20&Up, Adult Men/Women-Open, Masters, Premier
A water polo program focused on allowing the adult player a place to train and compete for fun & social or serious competition. Each player will be treated with respect to their ability and background and have the opportunity to operate within the LOS AL System in training and competition. Junior College level players are prepared for national level competitions with the focus of being seen by the top university coaches in the country.Current University level players will be able to compete in major club events to better prep them for their school teams along with trying out for Junior National and Senior National Teams.
A wide variety of skill levels and motivations are included in this group. Libby Azevedo is the leader of this program, please consult her. For those that are looking for a different level of competition and commitment, please talk to coach Bahram for alternatives.
Swimming , Water Polo Skills & Conditioning Clinics
This could be a an alternative program to those that have a difficult time to be enrolled in a formal and consistent swim program which includes swim teams, swim clubs and swim lessons. Water Polo Skills Clinics are great source of individualized learning and development in a non pressure non team environment.
